Dental Implants

All on 4 / All on 6

What is the All on 6 / All on 6 Treatment Concept?

All-on-4/All-on-6 dental implants refer to the fabrication of a single prosthesis for an entire arch, which is supported by either 4 or 6 implants in the jaw. This treatment provides a lifelong full arch prosthesis and is often performed using minimally invasive 3D-guided surgery. However, all-on-6 dental implants are a better option for extensive tooth restoration in larger jaws.

This treatment is particularly beneficial for patients who have had all their teeth extracted and are currently using full dentures that are loose, causing discomfort and a loss of confidence, especially in the lower dentures. At LUCID DENTAL, we aim to restore our patients’ attractive smiles and confidence, enabling them to smile more often. With a full-mouth dental implant, patients can regain their ability to chew, facial structure and their lost confidence

What is the difference between All-on-4 / All-on-6 & conventional dental implants?

All-on-4/All-on-6 dental implants use 4/6 implants to provide patients with a brand new smile, while conventional dental implants require between 6 to 8 implants per arch. Compared to traditional implants, All-on-6 procedures require less treatment and recovery time. Additionally, traditional implants are typically more expensive than All-on-4/All-on-6 dental implants.

Traditional implants may also require bone grafting, whereas the strategically placed arrangement of All-on-4/All-on-6 implants can utilize the existing bone volume for adequate support of the new teeth. This can save patients time, money, and discomfort.

Who is an ideal candidate for All-on-4/All-on-6?

We at LUCID DENTAL conduct a comprehensive oral examination and evaluation to determine the suitability of each patient as an ideal candidate for All-on-4/All-on-6 dental implants. In addition to examining the patient’s overall oral hygiene, we also consider other medical conditions such as age-related diseases, diabetes, etc.

We analyze various X-rays, including 3D X-rays, during the consultation to evaluate the patient’s bone structure and bite. If we feel any patient is not an ideal candidate for All-on-4/All-on-6, we provide alternative treatment options tailored to their individual needs.
